Gunfighter says:
* As much as Barack Obama should be kicking John McCain's ass, he could still lose this election, which says more about America's problem with race than anything else has in a generation. Which doesn't mean that he will lose, he won't, but it is what it is... we shouldn't congratulate ourselveson our "transcendence of race" just yet.
* The Lady in the yellow VW at the intersection of Edsall Road & General Washington Drive this morning: Put down that day planner and drive, you bloody moron! WTF is wrong with you?
* That the Rachel Maddow is the cat's ass! Hang in there, baby, and DON'T PULL ANY PUNCHES.
* The lady with the two dogs (you know who you are)... I know that you saw your Dalmatian drop a load in your neighbor's yard, I was only twenty feet away. How can you pretend that you didn't?
* That all people, especially those who are short in stature who drive big-ass SUV's, really need to put down their telephones when they try to navigate a parking space.
* "Troopergate" isn't about whether theTrooper-in-question was a dirtbag. It is about the abuse of power, Sarah. The fact that you don't want to talk to investigators makes you look dirty.
* That if you are a parent, and let your approximately 7 year old daughter go out in public wearing a shirt that says "Bootylicious" across the front, you should be punched in the face.
* That it seem kind of crazy to try and tour the Disney World theme parks while wearing four inch heels.
* That ipods cost too much.
...and finally, that the prayers and well-wishes from so many of you for my mother's recovery have had a great effect. My mother has endured her 6th and last session of chemotherapy, and is still swingin'. Hertumors (turns out that the two of them were so compressed, that they thought it was one big one) are still inoperable, but have shrunken to the point where they can't be felt, let alone be seen. She isn't in any pain or difficulty other than the effects of chemo, which she is handling like a true soldier. She asked me to thank all of you.
