Just before I woke up on Saturday morning, I had an odd dream (go figure, eh?).
I dreamed that I was with several other people standing on the cliffs of a high mountain, at near dusk. We were all wearing sky blue jumpsuits (like the ones people wear for indoor skydiving) that had red bands at the wrists and ankles. We also had wide lengths of fabric attached to our wrists that were also attached to the opposite ankle, forming an "X" when in a spread eagle position.
From time to time, people would leap off the cliffs and because of some sort of thermal updrafts, they wouldn't fall to their deaths. You've seen those "free-fall" machines before, haven't you?, where the air is blowing so hard, in an upward direction, that you will be in perpetual free fall.
Well, after a while of "free falling", each of the people I was with... myself included, would maneuver out of the slipstream, start to fall, and then deploy a parachute. When the whole group was safely on the ground, we gathered with a group of (get this!) Chinese paratroopers, for some sort of party or picnic or something.
It was very weird.
Why paratroopers? Why Chinese paratroopers? Why didn't I have that feeling of falling? Why was actor Neal McDonough dressed like a Chinese paratrooper? Why weren't any of the Chinese paratroopers jumping of the cliffs?
I would be happy to entertain any answers that you might have.
